Christopher SchwertmanOctober 10, 2024We love this system. The installer was fantastic and was careful to customize our installation to fit a very odd shaped property. We also like that this system is more user friendly than the system we had before (IF system). We WILL be recommending DogWatch to friends and family!Posted on Google

Ashley HuppJune 6, 2023We had the best experience with DogWatch. We were referred by my in-laws who have two Great Danes and had a fence installed this year by them. We have 2 huskies who are like family to us so we were very nervous about an electric fence system and didn’t want them to be in pain. But, after the great things we were told by our in laws we decided it was the best option for us with our acre of land and letting them roam and enjoy themselves. Installation took maybe an hour for our whole property. Luckily our dogs learned quickly not to go near the flags and we’ve had no issues at all. Even with their high prey drive and all the animals that visit (deer, rabbits, mice, all of them) they haven’t tried to go through it. Highly recommend!! We are so happy with the service we received and the entire system. Great people!Posted on Google
Chantal IrishAugust 26, 2022The photo on that other post is scary but I love my dog watch fence. We have lived in two homes in the area and have installed in both. We had initially used a different company and they had no correction tone for the dogs. It frightened them. So we installed this fence (yes, we bought a new system for the whole house) and love it. Our dogs get it. I have 2 small pups and a large dog. I can change the amount of correction they get. I have been using dog watch for 3 years without any issues. The batteries last quite a while as well… almost a year. Many dogs in our neighborhood have this fence. Only downfall is that they do not provide a “dog secured by underground fence” sign which freaks the neighbors out a bit when the big dog comes running. But she always stops before the line.+0Posted on Google

You Asked, We Answered
The SideWalker is used to train dogs to walk on a leash without pulling and to reinforce appropriate leash walking behavior.
A sensor under the collar strap on the SideWalker is triggered by pressure when the dog pulls on the leash (or when you pull the leash to direct the dog into the desired position.) When the sensor is activated, the dog receives either a vibration or a stimulation. The SideWalker should be set to a level that is just enough to distract the dog from the pulling behavior. Most dogs learn quickly that the sensation stops when the pulling stops.
Several variables affect how quickly your dog’s behavior will change, most notably the personality of your dog and the environment in which you are training the dog. Most dogs begin to understand the relationship between pulling and the vibration/stimulation after several activations of the collar. The pulling behavior diminishes quickly in some dogs and more gradually in others. If there is no noticeable change in pulling behavior after a reasonable trial period, check the collar to make sure the fit is good and the contact posts are the correct size. If collar fit is appropriate and the dog continues to pull, the SideWalker setting should be increased one level.
The SideWalker is safe and effective on dogs as small as 6 pounds.
We recommend waiting until the dog is 4-6 months old.
The components in the SideWalker are specified to operate from minus 25 degrees (F) to 125 degrees (F). A significant and rapid change in temperature may temporarily disrupt some of the SideWalker functions until the device adjusts to the new temperature level.
